2010 - 2011 Scholarship Application


Pioneers has a yearly scholarship program given to high school seniors who are related to a Pioneers member. Scholarships are given to students who excel in community service, school and leadership activities, and academics.

This one-time award of $1,000 is payable to an accredited post-secondary institution, skill / training center, or trade school. These funds are provided to assist students with tuition, required registration, or other fees. 

Pioneers Award $5,000 in Scholarships

Congratulations to the five 2010 high school seniors who were each selected from over 100 applicants to receive a $1,000 Pioneers Scholarship.

 

Sally Milnes, of Red Bank Regional HS in NJ is the granddaughter of John A. Wilson of the New Outlook Pioneers Penn Jersey Chapter. Sally will major in Culture and Society at the College of New Jersey.

 

Ashley Luddy, of Narragansett HS in RI is the granddaughter of Nancy Luddy of the Verizon Pioneers Thomas Sherwin Chapter. Ashley plans to pursue Finance and International Business at American University.

 

Mary Ballard, (Thomas Ballard of the Qwest Pioneers Iowa Chapter) attended Southeast Polk HS in Iowa and plans to major in Anthropology at Baylor University.

 

Andrew Seidorf, son of Ron and Sandra Seidorf, Pioneers in the AT&T New Jersey Chapter, Liberty Garden Club attended North Hunterdon HS in NJ and will pursue Computer Science at Marist College.

 

Jeffrey Belben, (Eric Belben of Bell Aliant Pioneers Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter, Northwest Council) attended Mountain Field Academy in Forteau, NL, Canada. Jeffrey’s heading to the College of North Atlantic to major in Mechanical Engineering. 


Winners were chosen based on their involvement in community service, excellence in school and leadership activities and academic achievement.
