Women Helping Women in Nashville

The greatest thing one woman can do is to give another woman a helping hand during a crucial moment in her life–and that’s exactly what a group of Pioneers in Nashville did through their Women Helping Women project.

For this project, Pioneers partnered with the Tennessee WOA, the Nashville Downtown Partnership, and other local businesses to create a clothing drive to benefit Dress for Success.

Dress for Success is a program that assists women in need by providing them with professional clothing at no charge. This program is instrumental in helping women look professional and polished during job interviews, which helps them gain employment.

The Pioneer team created the campaign, artwork, posters, and social media content needed to publicize the event. They also coordinated with six other downtown businesses to collect new or gently used articles of clothing, handbags, and shoes.

Hundreds of articles of clothing and accessories were collected and distributed to women in Nashville, making the project a great success! Providing women with professional clothing truly helped them thrive in work and in life. The project also allowed Pioneers to form vital partnerships with other organizations in the downtown Nashville community.
