Pioneers Provide Free School Supplies
Pioneers in Nova Scotia were determined to help young students start off the school year on the right note. So, they decided to help provide these students with the school supplies they needed—all free of charge.
Supplies were provided for students of all ages, and they included scissors, colored pencils, markers, glue sticks, loose leaf paper, highlighters and writing utensils, calculators, and binders.
Students in need could pick the supplies up at Maggie’s Place, a local family resource center, or free backpacks filled with supplies were also available at local libraries.
Having the needed supplies is the first step to a successful school year, and Pioneers were happy to be able to help these families in this way.
